Calcium



Dear colleagues,


Testing the autophosphorylation capacity and the ability to phosphorylate
MBP from our plant MAP3Kepsilon (still unpublished), we used Mg2+ : it
works and Ca2+ : it works too, but shows a quite different result. As a
general rule, people use mostly Mg2+ (or Mn2+). Is there any reason to
avoid Ca2+ ?
